The client bought a converted upper floor with generous volume and almost no acoustic separation. Our brief was a primary bathroom that felt like a retreat rather than a service room, without cutting into the daylight the apartment depends on.
We rebuilt the wet zone as a freestanding stone box set away from the façade, wrapped in book-matched marble and lined internally with an isolated stud to kill transmission. A slot of reeded glass borrows light from the bedroom without giving up privacy.
All joinery was drawn full size and made by the workshop we have used for twenty years, which kept the slab layout, the shadow gaps and the drainage falls consistent from drawing to install.
